So, here is the scoop . . . Jaqui and I have been wanting to henna our hair for a while. It's a lot of work to do, and there is NO WAY you can do it by your self . . . so it's something you REALLY need help to do.
I went on Saturday and picked up the henna from the health food store and then Jaqui was going to come over on Sunday morning and we were going to do the henna. She brought over some booze (I can't remember what it was called, but it was pink, so I called it "The Pink Stuff") and I made Fudge Jumbles and got the stuff to cook out Hot dogs.
Then I started mixing up the henna.
If you have never done henna, it's quite the experience. What it is, is mixed herbs all ground up. (Fact~ Cleopatra Used henna on her hair to keep it shinny and beautiful.) It looks kind of like "Ground oregano" And then you add Hot water and mix. Till it's the consistency of loose baby poop. But the good part of it is, it smells like Tea . . . so Jaqui Schlooped it on to my head and we wrapped my head in Cling wrap, and then I mixed up her henna a Schlooped it on her head, and then wrapped it in Cling wrap.
Since it's very runny, we sat outside and drank our "Pink Stuff"
Here we are with our heads wrapped in our Cling wrap "Do rags" and with our pink stuff. We don't have any make up on . . . and we are looking like the beautiful GLAMOUR GIRLS we are!
It really gets drippy, and it was leaking all down Jaqui's shirt.
We are so silly . . . we had such a good time doing our hair.
This is one of the things that you can really only do with someone you have known for a million years, because anyone else would see you at your worst. But with friends like me and Jaqui we have "Already seen each other at our worst and lived to tell about it!"
We had a great day!!!
Sorry, no after pictures of what our hair looked like . . . we were too busy drinking our "Pink Stuff" and eating Fudge Jumbles!
